From first photos to handoff.
Snyder runs the same five steps on every project — homeowner remodel, builder new-construction, designer custom build. Our own crew measures, designs, and fabricates; we install railings, swaps, and tread replacements, and deliver a complete new stair ready to set. Below: what each step produces and how long it takes.
Step 01Same day, free
Photos & a Real Budget
Most projects start with a phone call, not a site visit. Send a few photos of your stair and your town, and we come back the same day with a real budget range over the phone.
Step 02A few days
Selection & Written Quote
Once the budget works, we help you choose wood species, baluster pattern, and finish to match your home — then you get a written quote with the scope spelled out.
Step 03About 1 hour, when needed
Site Measure
When a project needs it, we measure the rough opening, headroom, and floor heights in person; complex, curved, or custom stairs get a CAD drawing to approve before anything is cut.
Step 044–6 weeks (8–12 for curved)
Shop-Floor Fabrication
The stair comes together on our Whitehall shop floor — cut to your run, tread returns added, fittings coped, sourced parts brought together and assembled. We deliver unfinished, so the finish matches your floors on site.
Step 051–3 days on site · or delivered to set
Install & Delivery
We install railings, iron baluster swaps, and tread replacements ourselves, on site. A complete new staircase we deliver ready to set — another trade sets it, and we install the railing.

It starts with a few photos — not a sales visit.
