Before you call

Three things people ask once we're on the list.

  • 01 / 03

Can I visit the Whitehall shop?

Yes — 117 Franklin Street, Mon–Fri 8:00A–4:30P. Walk in to handle tread samples, baluster profiles, and finish chips, or call ahead so the right person is free.

  • 02 / 03

Does the person who measures stay on the job?

Yes. The Snyder rep who measures your foyer stays accountable through the build and the install — whether you're eight miles away or thirty down Route 78.

  • 03 / 03

How fast can you get out to measure?

Inside the Valley, usually the same week. NJ and outer-county measures ride fixed corridor days, so the drive stays efficient and your quote isn't padded for windshield time.

Service-area FAQ

Local questions, honest answers.

Don't see your town? Call (610) 443-2240 — we'll tell you straight whether we're the right shop for your job.

Which towns does Snyder Stairs serve?

Our current priority service areas are Upper Macungie, Lower Macungie, Macungie, Center Valley and Upper Saucon, Forks, Bethlehem Township, Upper Nazareth, Palmer, North Whitehall, and Milford Township in Bucks County; Plumstead, Warrington, Buckingham, Doylestown, Limerick, Upper Providence, and Upper Uwchlan or Chester Springs; plus Raritan Township, Clinton Township, and Long Valley or Washington Township in New Jersey. Parts ship anywhere in the United States.

Do you serve my town if it isn't on your list?

The 20 named areas are our current priorities, not a hard boundary. Call (610) 443-2240 with your town and project scope and we'll tell you straight whether we're the right shop for the job.

How far will Snyder travel for a stair or railing project?

Full-service install runs out to about 30 miles from Whitehall with no surcharge. Past that — into Northern New Jersey and the outer counties — we travel up to ~75 miles on referral, with a flat travel allowance (typically $300–$500) folded into the install scope. Site-measure visits are free regardless of distance.

Does the person who measures stay with the job?

Yes. The Snyder rep who measures your foyer stays accountable through the build and the install — we don't hand your job off to an unknown outfit. That's true whether you're eight miles away in Emmaus or thirty down Route 78 in Clinton.

Do you charge a travel fee for Northern New Jersey jobs?

East of the Delaware — Clinton, Bedminster, Bernardsville, and the Route 78 corridor — we add a flat travel allowance, usually $300–$500 depending on project size, into the install line. Because everything is fabricated and pre-finished at our PA shop and arrives crated, your timeline matches a Lehigh Valley job; only the drive is different.

Can I visit the Whitehall shop to see samples in person?

Yes. We're at 117 Franklin Street, Whitehall, PA, open Monday–Friday 8:00A–4:30P. Walk in to handle tread samples, baluster profiles, and finish chips, or call ahead at (610) 443-2240 so the right person is free to walk you through options.

How fast can you get out to my home for a measure?

Inside the Lehigh Valley we can usually schedule a free measuring visit the same week. We route New Jersey and outer-county measures onto fixed corridor days (we keep Tuesday/Thursday Easton and Wednesday/Friday Saucon Valley circuits, for example) so the drive stays efficient and your quote isn't padded for windshield time.

The Snyder Standard

More than a parts supplier — we build the stairs.

Most online stair-part shops are warehouses moving boxes — they've never coped a fitting or set a newel post. Snyder Stairs has been designing, building, and installing stairs and railings in Pennsylvania homes since 1987. Our reputation is built on job sites, not just websites.
