How a curved project runs
From sketch to delivered stair.
- STEP 01
Design and site measure
We come out to the site, measure the rough opening, and talk through design directions. You get a budget range and sketches before anything moves forward.
- STEP 02
Contract and drawings
Plan, elevation, and section drawings, reviewed with you so the design is approved before production begins.
- STEP 03
Shop fabrication
Stringers laminated and bent on our jigs. Treads cut from select stock. Volute and handrail coped to fit and dry-fit in the shop before delivery.
- STEP 04
Delivery
The staircase is delivered ready for installation. We walk through the delivery with your foreman before we leave.
- STEP 05
Install with phone support
Your trim crew sets the stair over a few days. Call us with any joinery question along the way. Once the project is ready for railing, we return to install the handrail, newels, and balusters.

Do you install the curved stair yourselves?
The staircase is delivered ready for installation, and your trim crew sets it. We're on the phone for questions during the install. Once it's in place and the project is ready for railing, we return to install the handrail, newels, and balusters.
What does a custom curved staircase cost?
Curved stairs are quoted by design, not from a price list. Grand custom staircases generally run $20,000–$70,000 depending on the radius work, the species, and the handrail details. Send us the architectural plan and we'll give you a realistic budget range before a site measure.
Can you do circular stairs?
Yes. A circular stair is a full helix around a central axis, and it's the most demanding stair we build. Every tread shares one radius, so we field-measure before anything is cut. Send us the plans and we'll talk through construction options.
Will the curved stair fit through my framed opening?
We deliver the staircase in sections and assemble it in the foyer, and we confirm the path in at the site measure. We sequence the install so your finished trim isn't in the way.
