The story
A curved over-the-post stair is the hardest thing we build, and the Rambo project was the most photographed one we shipped that year. Twelve weeks in the shop laminating the stringer, cope-fitting the volute and newels, and dry-fitting every joint before it went on the truck.
Walnut throughout — treads, risers wrapped in walnut veneer, and a continuous handrail that takes a single uninterrupted line from the first-floor newel to the second-floor balcony. The carved newels are a traditional acorn pattern, sourced and fit to the run under our roof.
Four days on site with two of our installers. The Rambos hosted a holiday dinner the next week.
